From
1997 until 2006 our German and Slovak sister companies had a very
successful co-operation with Messe
Frankfurt for Automechanika-CATpool,
a new electronic exhibitor product catalog
system, which was distributed on CD-ROM and available on the Internet.
More
than 300.000 CD
with Automechanika-CATpool
were distributed starting
in
1998 to
visitors of the Automechanika, the world's largest automotive
parts and garage exhibition.
The idea was to build up an information
system essentially identical to today's CATpool but with a much
smaller focus limited to the distribution of exhibitor
paper catalogs in our e-paper format Elecat
and with a product
database. This was based on a special version of our Elecat
software.
The
contract with Messe Frankfurt imposed restrictions on us but fortunately
this contract ended in 2006 so that we are now finally free to launch
our own CATpool system without being limited by exhibition people
and their politics. More

Since
mid 2003 our Slovak sister company has been and still is developing
a very comprehensive software system for the head office of the
Philips group
of companies in Eindhoven in Holland.
Philips
uses a special version of Elestore,
of Elepub, various
other members of EleFamily
and also an Internet portal that is essentially based on and mostly
identical to EleAIS.
Our
software is used by Philips to store, administrate and publish all
product numbers of the entire group of companies, that is around
one million article numbers with several million attributes and
cross-references.
This
co-operation has been very successful despite an extremely tight
schedule and it still continues.

We are and we will stay independent
Due to these co-operations we could develop the
entire EleFamily software products and the portal software without
any need for Venture Capital sharks, banks or share holders. We
intend to stay independent in any case, not only because most of
the money-greedy companies that we saw taking capital during the
Internet bubble have gone out of business a long time ago.
Open for partnerships
However, we are, of course, open for new co-operations
in the marketing and operation of national and local portal websites
under the roof of YellowParts also because we would prefer to concentrate
on general concepts and software development and to delegate local
marketing, operation and customer support to local partners who
know their markets and the mentality of their local customers. In
our eyes all business is local — even in these Internet times.
